Circle
work for GK/GD
This exercise
will help the defender's mobility in the circle when she is
defending in front of her shooter
Description of practice
The defender
must always be in front of her shooter, between the ball and
the shooter
The ball is passed between the feeders
The feeders must not pass the ball too quickly between
them to begin with!!
They can occassionally pass the ball to the shooter
- hopefully the defender will make the interception
Coaching Points
The defender has to use "quick feet" to make sure
she always gets and stays in front.
Her foot base has to be small
She has to make sure that when she moves she does not
contact the shooter
She has to use her peripheral vision to keep an eye
on the ball and the shooter
